Our Facility at INNOVIA Biobank

INNOVIA BioBank is meticulously designed to meet high global standards and incorporates advanced technology. Strategically located just twenty minutes away from city congestion and five minutes from the international airport, the facility boasts a reinforced steel and concrete structure. Specialized features include storage areas with bullet-proof glass and 0.5-meter concrete walls, automated backup generators, remote data backup, and advanced security measures such as motion detectors and on-duty guards. The facility prioritizes safety against natural disasters like earthquakes, fires, and flooding.

The building is equipped with a 24-hour security system, rapid emergency notification, and deployment capabilities. Real-time monitoring of cord blood processing and cryogenic storage laboratories is ensured through on-site and remote audio/video surveillance. Large-capacity backup generators and 3,000-gallon gravity-fed liquid nitrogen tanks provide continuous power and effective cryogenic storage.

Our cryopreservation facilities are designed for scalability, accommodating thousands of cord blood units with the flexibility to expand as demand increases, maintaining industry-leading temperature preservation hold time after disconnection from liquid nitrogen. Quality assurance is a top priority, with each cord blood unit processed at a dedicated workstation from start to finish. This approach guarantees optimal sample preservation and eliminates the risk of mislabeling or cross-contamination. Comprehensive testing is performed on each processed unit, and detailed reports are sent to parents as part of the quality assurance program.

Our Laboratory Facilities:

Our cutting-edge laboratory and cryogenic storage facility, spanning 1,100 square meters, has been meticulously designed to establish an optimal blood processing flow path. This ensures that all procedures adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Tissue Practices (GTP), as recommended by regulatory bodies such as the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Stringent international standards are followed to guarantee the highest quality in cord blood banking.

Laboratory Design and Procedures:

Our laboratory is specifically engineered to minimize cross-contamination, enhance processing efficiency for optimal cell recovery, and prioritize stringent storage security. The processing and quality control procedures adhere to the most rigorous standards prevalent in cord blood banking today.

Security Measures:

Upon arrival, your baby's cord blood undergoes a meticulous logging process into our laboratory data management system. Subsequently, each cord blood unit is assigned a unique barcode identifier before being processed from start to finish at a dedicated workstation. This workflow ensures complete traceability of the blood unit throughout processing, cryopreservation, and storage within our liquid nitrogen storage tanks.

Our state-of-the-art laboratory is equipped with backup generators, computer monitoring systems, and audio/video surveillance to maintain constant communication with our technicians. This ensures continuous monitoring of both the cord blood processing and cryogenic storage laboratories. The cryogenic storage facility is safeguarded 24/7 with security and surveillance measures, including motion detectors and alarm systems. Additionally, our 3,000-gallon gravity-fed liquid nitrogen tank and backup generators provide protection against power failures.
